Abstract

This research discusses about the automatic uplink power control (AUPC) on the Incline satellite, and the modem has been equipped with AUPC fiture which is used to maintain link margin stability of 2-3 dB, by adjusting the output power level which is to maintain SNR value at the opporent’s earth station. The monitoring process of the AUPC on Incline satellite that is, if there is signal decrease from predetermined limit, then system will automatically increase the signal by adding power or increase power is 0.5 dB. And if the signal exceeds the predetermined limit, then the system will automatically lower the signal by reducing the power or decrease power 0.5 dB. In the process of making this AUPC application using Python programming language with pyephem module to read data of Two Line Element Set or TLE Satellite.
