Abstract

The continuity of electrical energy distribution to customers is currently not free from
power outages, seeing the growing use of electricity is needed. The power outage can be
caused by interference from the system, material, or other components during maintenance
of distribution substations. So that it has an impact on both the losses of the PLN and the
customer. on the PLN side itself due to the decrease in continuity of customer service, while
on the customer side, namely the disruption of activities that require electricity. From these
two things, there is Energy Not Supplied (ENS) in the sense of energy that is not distributed.
To minimize the occurrence of blackouts and thus reduce the ENS, the minimum outage
method is applied. This research uses a quantitative method, where data is taken from PT
PLN (Persero) UP3 Tanjung Karang. Then the ENS is sought by calculating before and
after using the minimum outage method and knowing the benefits obtained by the company.
So it can be seen from the ENS (Energy Not Supplied) Calculation Results in 2022, namely
at the time of total blackout the number of ENS value results obtained was 150,802,180.84
kWh after applying the minimum blackout method, the number of ENS value results
decreased by 16,376.96 kWh. Based on the calculation before (total blackout) and after
the application of the minimum blackout method, the result of the profit (Gain) rupiah is
Rp. 168.590.112,-
