Rugi – rugi pada penghantar kabel tanah bergantung kepada suhu operasi kabel. Karena suhu itu di instalasi di lapangan tidak diketahui, maka perkiraan dari rugirugi sukar dilakukan, oleh karena itu dilakukan secara pendekatan. Pada metode yang biasa digunakan sudah memperhitungkan fungsi fluktuasi beban yang sudah memperhitungkan tahanan termal eksternal. Tahanan termal bergantung kepada tahanan penghantar yang juga fungsi dari suhu. Pada tulisan ini akan dikaji suhu kabel yang mempengaruhi rugi-rugi dan bergantung kepada arus beban.

The losses in a cable conductor are dependent on the operating temperature. Since in the field installation is unknown, the estimation of the losses as adifficult task, therefor usually some approximations are used in the current method takes into account a function of daily load fluctions which is include the external thermal resistance. The external thermal resitance requires consideration of the conductor resistance that is temperature dependent. This paper will study the ampacity of cables by introducing of temperature dependence of the conductor losses.
