Pusat listrik tenaga nuklir (PLTN) yang menggunakan bahan bakar thorium merupakan perkembangan teknologi nuklir yang terbaru.Dari segi biayanya (Kwh) lebih murah daripada PLTN uranium dan diduga bahan bakar thorium banyak terdapat di Indonesia khususnya di pulau Bangka Belitung.Namun proses konversi energinya pada PLTN thorium menggunakan brayton cycle sedangkan PLTN dengan uranium menggunakan rangkine cycle.Sehingga proses pengaturan dayanya memerlukan sistem kendali (control) yang berbeda.Dalam skripsi ini akan dibahas sistem kontrol PLTN thorium bisa berkontribusi dalam pengaturan frekuensi dalam sistem interkoneksi.

Nuclear power plants (NPP) which uses thorium fuel is the latest development of nuclear technology. In terms of the cost (Kwh) cheaper than nuclear power plants and suspected uranium thorium fuel is widely available in Indonesia, especially on the island of Bangka Belitung. However, the energy conversion process using brayton thorium cycle nuclear power plants with uranium while using rangkine cycle. So that its regulatory process requires the control system (control) different. In this paper will discuss thorium nuclear power plant control system can contribute in setting the frequency of the interconnection system.
