Where in antiquity when the existence of traditional transportation that still use the pedicab, bicycle ontel, delman, getek and some also use the animal power such as delman and pedati. However, today's traditional means of transportation is already difficult to find again in the present. Where children today have no longer know what the traditional means of transportation in antiquity. Most children today know only the modern things.
In an effort to increase children's interest in the present to learn and know to know the history of antiquity what are the traditional means of transportation, it needs a proper and informative technology. Nowadays, most of the history in Indonesia only provides text information about the brief history of the given means of transportation.
Research method used by writer in this research is Research & Development (R & D). This study aims to design and build an application that can provide additional interactive visual information using Augmented Reality technology based on Android smartphones. Augmented Reality technology itself has the ability to combine the virtual world in the form of two or three dimensions with the real world in a system. In addition, this technology has the ability to deliver visual information more complete and interesting so that the information conveyed becomes more interactive and innovative.
