Abstract

The increasing cases of theft of money and valuables, cause discomfort if about to leave valuables at home without a safety device. Starting from these problems, this research will discuss the design of fingerprint identification sensor with a microcontroller-based for security safes. Fingerprints are used as a cipher replaces existing conventional lock, fingerprint is a definite biologically different in each person, so it is very difficult to find security holes in a security system. The method used in performing design is a prototype method. The security system is built using the Arduino UNO board ATmega328 microcontroller based control center of all the components. Gsm module is used as a warning in the form of a short message if someone tries to break into safes, 16x2 LCD serves as a medium of communication between the user and the device. And the use of solenoid to lock the safe door. The results of this research is to create a security tool using the fingerprint sensor with ATmega328 mikrokontoler-based for security safes.
