Perkembangan teknologi menghasilkan berbagai aplikasi yang digunakan sebagai media presentasi. Kebutuhan aplikasi ini salah satunya adalah untuk promosi perguruan tinggi kepada calon mahasiswa baru. Sehingga dibutuhkan sebuah aplikasi yang menarik dan interaktif.
Dengan teknologi augmented reality yang berjalan pada sistem opreasi android diharapkan proses presentasi oleh perguruan tinggi dapat tersampaikan dengan baik, tidak membosankan dan interaktif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah perancangan multimedia yang dikemukakan oleh Luther. Perancangan Luther ini terdiri dari enam tahapan : Konsep, Desain, Pengumpulan Bahan, Pembuatan, Percobaan dan Pendistribusian.
Dalam aplikasi ini terdapat beberapa modul yang dispesifikasikan untuk kebutuhan presentasi perguruan tinggi yaitu profil perguruan tinggi, visi dan misi, prestasi, informasi jurusan, program unggulan , detail kontak, fasilitas dan informasi penerimaa mahasiswa baru.
