The use of augmented reality technology is now extended to mobile application, especially for devices such as Android smartphones. One type of augmented reality applications that have been implemented on Android devices is
a location-based applications (location-based).
The study was conducted by designing and building a location-based augmented reality applications on smartphones with the Android platform and uses the method waterfall as system software development. Application uses Augmented Reality (AR) based Location Service, Global Positioning System (GPS), and sensors, as well as utilizing Google Maps API to display the map and the navigation.
