Abstract

Peningkatan efisiensi dan fleksibilitas daya pasok pembangkit listrik menjadi kebutuhan strategis dalam mendukung transisi energi nasional. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan produksi listrik pada Pusat Listrik Tenaga Mesin Gas (PLTMG) Bangkanai melalui peningkatan kapasitas sistem pasok gas berbasis teknologi Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Analisis dilakukan dengan membangun model prediktif berbasis regresi antara konsumsi gas alam (dalam BBTUD) dan output listrik (kWh), diikuti oleh pengujian normalitas residual, transformasi data, serta evaluasi akurasi model menggunakan nilai MAPE dan koefisien determinasi. Selanjutnya, dilakukan simulasi peningkatan kapasitas gas umpan dari 20 BBTUD menjadi 30 BBTUD yang dilengkapi CNG Plant eksisting (5.2 MMSCF) dan skenario penambahan CNG Plant 2 berkapasitas 5.1 MMSCF. Strategi pengoperasian dianalisis menggunakan metode kombinasi AHP (analytic hierarchy process)-TOPSIS (technique of order preference by similarity to ideal solution) dengan tujuh kriteria utama: BPP, SFC gas, SFC BBM, Capacity Factor (CF), daya pasok saat base load dan peak load, serta total produksi listrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skenario penambahan gas umpan menjadi 30 BBTUD (dengan tambahan CNG-2 sebesar 5.1 BBTUD) menghasilkan preferensi tertinggi sebesar 0.6356 dengan peningkatan CF total PLTMG Bangkanai dari 29.51% menjadi 43.87%, produksi listrik harian dari 2235.84 MWh menjadi 3367.10 MWh dan daya pasok saat peak load dari 175.45 MW menjadi 228.40 MW . Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung pengambilan keputusan teknis dan kebijakan strategis dalam pengembangan sistem energi berbasis gas alam terkompresi di Indonesia.

Enhancing efficiency and operational flexibility in power generation is a strategic necessity to support Indonesia's energy transition. This study aims to optimize electricity production at the Bangkanai Gas Engine Power Plant (GEPP) through increasing the supply capacity of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The analysis begins with the development of a regression model predicting the relationship between natural gas consumption (BBTUD) and electricity power plant output (kWh), followed by residual normality testing, data transformation, and model accuracy evaluation using MAPE and R² metrics. A simulation is then conducted to evaluate the effect of increasing the gas supply capacity from 20 BBTUD to 30 BBTUD through the addition of an existing CNG Plant (5.2 MMSCF) and relocation of a 5.1 MMSCF CNG facility from another site. Operational strategy scenarios are evaluated using the AHP (analytic hierarchy process)-TOPSIS (technique of order preference by similarity to ideal solution) method based on seven key criteria: the main cost (fuel) of electricity supply, SFC Gas, SFC Diesel, Capacity Factor (CF), supply capacity during base load and peak load, and total power production. The results indicate that the scenario with a gas supply increase to 30 BBTUD (including a 5.1 BBTUD CNG-2 addition) achieved the highest preference score of 0.6356, with CF increasing from 29.51% to 43.87% , daily power output from 2235.84 MWh to 3367.10 MWh and peak load power supply from 175.45 MW to 228.40 MW. This research contributes valuable insights for technical decision-making and strategic planning in compressed natural gas-based energy systems in Indonesia.
