PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa (PT DSS) adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bisnis penyediaan daya listrik yang mempunyai PLTU 30MW trafo daya 11/20kV, 50MVA, cos φ 0,93. Daya listrik ini di jual ke PT Pindo Deli (PT PD) melalui saluran kabel 3 fasa 20kV, 24 jam sehari. Selain itu PT PD mendapat suplai daya listrik dari PLN melalui SUTT 70kV, 24 jam sehari. Gangguan pada busbar 20kV PT DSS akan mengakibatkan suplai daya listrik ke PT PD akan terputus, karena baik CB 20kV untuk kabel tanah ke PT PD maupun CB 20kV trafo generator dari PT DSS akan trip. Pada skripsi ini akan ditentukan breaking capacity CB trafo generator 20kV untuk gangguan pada busbar 20 kV. Gangguan hubung singkat pada busbar 20kV akan menimbulkan arus hubung singkat terbesar.

PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa (PT DSS) is a company engaged in the business of providing electrical power. It has a 30MW transformator 11/20kV 50MVA, 0,93 power factor steam power plant. This electrical power is sold to PT Pindo Deli (PT PD) through a 20kV 3– phase line, 24 hours a day. PT PD got its electrical power supply through a high voltage 70kV over head line from PLN 24 hours a day. Fault on the 20kV bus bar of PT DSS will cause a distruption of electrical power to PT PD, because both the 20kV Circuit Breaker (CB) the ground cable and 20kV the circuit breaker from the transformer generator of PT DSS will trip. In this thesis the breaking capacity of 20kV CB at the transformer generator from PT DSS will be determined when a fault occur at the 20kV bus bar. A short circuit on the 20kV busbar will cause the biggist short circuit current.
