Abstract

Pada sistem pembangkitan Balance of Plant (BOP) merupakan proses awal produksi listrik. Dalam BOP terdapat beberapa sistem, salah satunya adalah water intake plant. Water Intake Plant berfungsi untuk menyuplai air laut sebagai media pendingin untuk proses kondensasi di kondensor. Untuk masing-masing Blok pada pembangkitan terdapat dua buah pompa Main Cooling Water Pump (MCWP).MCWP adalah pompa berfungsi untuk menyuplai air laut untuk proses kondensasi di kondensor dan pendingin di Closing Cooling Water (CCW). Pada saat pengoperasian MCWP mengalami beberapa perubahan seperti kenaikan temperatur pada bearing motor dan winding. Pada pendinginan bearing menggunakan pelumas sedangkan pada winding digunakan fan/kipas. Tiap MCWP menggunakan satu kipas untuk pendinginan winding. Ternyata pada kondisi lapangannya dengan menggunakan satu kipas, temperatur winding pada MCWP masih tinggi, maka dengan itu dibutuhan penambahan kipas guna memaksimalkan pendinginan pada winding.

In the generation system Balance of Plant (BOP) is beginning the process of electricity production. In BOP there are several systems, one of which is the water intake plant. Water Intake Plant serves to supply sea water as a cooling medium for the condensation in the condenser. For each block in the generation there are two pumps Main Cooling Water Pump (MCWP). MCWP is used to pump sea water supply to the process of condensation in condensers and coolers in Closing Cooling Water (CCW). At the time of the operation MCWP undergo some changes such as temperature rise in the motor bearings and winding. On cooling the bearing using lubricant while the winding used fan / fan. Each MCWP using one fan for cooling winding. Apparently in field conditions by using a fan, winding temperature at MCWP still high, then with the addition of dibutuhan fan to maximize cooling of the winding.
