Abstract

PLTU merupakan pembangkit listrik tenaga uap yang umum digunakan dalam produksi energi listrik. Untuk memenuhi energi yang cukup besar, diperlukan PLTU yang beroperasi secara optimal. Salah satu komponen penting dalam PLTU adalah Secondary Superheater yang berfungsi sebagai pemanas uap dalam PLTU. Namun pada kenyataannya komponen secondary superheater tube ini sering kali terjadi komponen yang mengalami kerusakan. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari skripsi ini adalah untuk melakukan analisa kegagalan terhadap Secondary Superheater Tube dengan melakukan Studi Literatur pada analisa kegagalan pada material Secondary Superheater Tube. penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan kualitatif dengan upaya observasi melalui analisis pada kegagalan material secondary superheater tube. Dari hasil analisa terkait studi literatur yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa penyebab utama kegagalan utama secondary superheater tube adalah dekarburisasi, overheating, speriodisasi, grativisasi, erosi dan ketidaksesuaian standar material berdasarkan ASTM (American Society Testing and Material)

PLTU is a steam power plant that is commonly used in the production of electrical energy. To meet the sufficiently large amount of energy, a power plant that is functioning optimally is needed. One of the important components in the PLTU is the Secondary Superheater tube which functions as a steam heater in the PLTU. But in fact, the secondary superheater tube components are often the damaged components. Therefore, this thesis aims to analyze the failure of the Secondary Superheater Tube by conducting a study literature on the failure analysis of the Secondary Superheater Tube material. This research was conducted using descriptive and qualitative methods with observation through analysis of the failure of the secondary heating tube material. From the results of analysis related to the study literature conducted, it was found that the main causes of secondary superheater tube failure were decarburization, overheating, periodization, gratification, erosion, and non-conformity of material standards based on ASTM (American Society Testing and Materials).
