Boiler merupakan suatu alat yang berfungsi untuk mengubah fasa air menjadi fasa uap dengan temperatur dan tekanan tertentu dari proses perebusan air yang diperlukan turbin uap untuk menggerakkan generator sehingga menghasilkan listrik. Didalam boiler terjadi proses pembakaran dan perpindahan panas yang menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi boiler. Efisiensi boiler adalah kemampuan unjuk kerja boiler yang ditunjukkan dari perbandingan panas yang masuk (heat input) ke dalam sistem dengan panas yang dipindahkan atau diserap oleh fluida kerja serta kerugian – kerugian panas (heat loss) yang terjadi pada boiler. Pada skripsi ini dilakuan perhitungan dan analisa pada beban 125 MW dengan menggunakan metode direct dan metode indirect. Nilai efisiensi pada boiler menggunakan metode direct adalah 52.08% sebelum overhaul dan
meningkat sebesar 3.84% menjadi 55.92% setelah dilakukan overhaul. Sedangkan nilai efisiensi boiler dengan menggunakan metode indirect meningkat sebesar 1.4496% dari 85.4063% menjadi 86.8559%.

The boiler is a tool that functions to change the water phase into the steam phase with a certain temperature and pressure from the water boiling process which is needed by the steam turbine to drive the generator to produce electricity. In the boiler there is a process of combustion and heat transfer which is one of the factors that affect boiler efficiency. Boiler efficiency is the performance capability of the boiler which is indicated by the ratio of heat input into the system with the heat transferred or absorbed by the working fluid as well as heat losses that occur in the boiler. In this thesis, calculations and analyzes are carried out at a load of 125 MW using the direct method and the indirect method. The efficiency value of the boiler using the direct method was 52.08% before the overhaul and increased by 3.84% to 55.92% after the overhaul was carried out. Meanwhile, the boiler efficiency value using the indirect method increased by 1.4496% from 85.4063% to 86.8559%.
