Abstract
Transformator distribusi memiliki peran penting dalam kelangsungan sistem jaringan distribusi tenaga listrik. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, saat ini transformator distribusi tidak hanya di produksi menggunakan baja silikon atau CRGO (Cold Rolled Grain Oriented) saja, akan tetapi banyak produsen transformator yang sudah memproduksi menggunakan baja amorphous. Dalam aplikasi penerapan transformator distribusi baja amorphous dilapangan, ditemukan kondisi anomali dimana kebisingan pada transformator distribusi tersebut melebihi ketentuan standar SPLN D3.002-1:2020. Kebisingan pada transformator distribusi baja amorphous menimbulkan gangguan di masyarakat yang berada disekitar transformator distribusi baja amorphous sehingga keandalan transformator distribusi baja amorphous diragukan. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis melakukan studi tentang karakteristik inti besi amorphous dan CRGO metode eksperimen percobaan pengujian kurva magnetisasi terhadap kedua inti besi yang digunakan pada transformator distribusi untuk mengetahui karakteristik saturasi terhadap kedua inti tersebut. Hasil percobaan yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kurva magnetik transformator distribusi baja amorphous cenderung lebih cepat mengalami kejenuhan dibandingkan transformator distribusi inti CRGO. Hal ini berbanding lurus dengan pengujian tingkat bising yang dilakukan dimana hasil pengujian menunjukkan transformator distribusi baja amorphous memiliki nilai kebisingan yang lebih tinggi dari pada transformator distribusi inti CRGO.
Distribution transformers play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of electrical power distribution network systems. With technological advancements, distribution transformers are now manufactured not only with silicon steel or CRGO (Cold Rolled Grain Oriented) but also many transformer manufacturers are already producing them with amorphous steel cores. In field applications, however, an anomaly has been observed where in amorphous core transformers produce a humming noise that exceeds the SPLN D3.002-1:2020 standard limits. The excessive noise from amorphous cores transformers has become a concern for residents living nearby, so the reliability of transformers with amorphous cores is doubtful. From this incident the author was motivated to carry out a study examines the magnetic characteristics of amorphous and CRGO cores through experimental testing of magnetization curves to determine their saturation characteristics. Experimental results indicate that the magnetization curve of amorphous steel cores tends to reach saturation earlier than that of CRGO cores.
