Abstract
High Pressure Heater (HPH) adalah salah satu jenis heat exchanger di PLTU yang
berfungsi sebagai pemanas air sebelum masuk ke boiler yang memanfaatkan uap ekstraksi
dari turbin. Pada bulan November 2020 dilakukannya kegiatan overhaul pada komponen
HPH pada Unit 3, kegiatan yang dilakukan ialah pembersihan tube, pergantian gasket,
inspeksi valve, dan adanya tes kebocoran pada HPH. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan
overhaul terhadap Efektifitas HPH maka dilakukan perhitungan data dan analisis sehingga
diketahui komponen dalam kondisi lebih bagus atau tidak. Dalam penulisan ini penulis
menghitung dan menganalisis nilai Efektifitas High Pressure Heater 1 dan 2 sebelum dan
sesudah dilakukannya kegiatan overhaul. Dari hasil perhitungan dan analisis dapat
dikethui bahwa setelah dilakukan kegiatan overhaul dapat meningkatkan efektifitas HPH.
Pada bulan Oktober 2020 (sebelum Overhaul) didapat nilai efektifitas pada HPH 1 antara
lain 0,965 (zona desuperheating), 0,751 (zona condensing), dan 0,212 (zona subcooling),
sedangkan pada bulan desember 2020 (setelah overhaul) memliki efektifitas sebesar 0,970
(zona desuperheating), 0,788 ( zona condensing), dan 0,352 (zona subcooling). Nilai
Efektifitas HPH 2 juga mengalami kenaikan setelah dilakukan overhaul. Nilai efektifitas
HPH 2 sebelum overhaul sebesar 0,971 (zona desuperheating), 0,713 (zona condessing),
0,519 (zona subcooling) sedangkan setelah overhaul meningkat menjadi sebesar 0,986
(zona desuperheating), 0,846 (zona condensing), dan 0,52 (zona subcooling). Hal tersebut
membuktikan kegiatan overhaul dapat meningkatkan efektifitas HPH
High Pressure Heater (HPH) is a type of heat exchanger in PLTU that
functions as a water heater before entering the boiler that utilizes steam extraction
from the turbine. In November 2020, overhaul activities were carried out on HPH
components at Unit 3, the activities carried out were tube cleaning, gasket changes,
valve inspections, and leak tests on HPHs. To determine the effect of overhaul
activities on HPH effectiveness, data calculations and analysis are carried out so
that it is known whether the components are in better condition or not. In this
writing, the writer calculates and analyzes the Effectiveness value of High Pressure
Heater 1 and 2 before and after the overhaul activity. From the results of
calculations and analysis, it can be seen that after overhaul activities can increase
the effectiveness of HPH. In October 2020 (before overhaul) the effectiveness
values for HPH 1 were 0.965 (desuperheating zone), 0.751 (condensing zone), and
0.212 (subcooling zone), while in December 2020 (after overhaul) the effectiveness was 0.970 (zone desuperheating), 0.788 (condensing zone), and 0.352 (subcooling zone). The Effectiveness value of HPH 2 also increased after overhauling. The value of HPH 2 effectiveness before overhaul was 0.971 (desuperheating zone), 0.713 (condessing zone), 0.519 (subcooling zone) while after overhaul increased to 0.986 (desuperheating zone), 0.846 (condensing zone), and 0.52 (subcooling zone). This proves that overhaul activities can increase the effectiveness of HPH.
