BAKAR DAN EFISIENSI TERMAL CATERPILLAR 3512B DI PT.PLN(PERSERO)

dan efisiensi termal adalah variasi beban, tingkat variasi pembebanan mesin akan
mempengaruhi seberapa konsumsi bahan bakar yang dibutuhkan untuk membangkitkan
energi listrik dan tentu saja variasi beban akan mempengaruhi nilai efisiensi termal pada mesin dikarenakan losses yang terjadi pada saat proses pembakaran berlangsung. Tujuan dari dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh variasi beban terhadap konsumsi bahan bakar dan efisiensi termal pada PLTD ULP Tapak Tuan pada variasi beban 400 KW, 600 KW, 800 KW. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui pengaruh variasi beban terhadap SFC yaitu semakin tinggi beban yang diberikan maka nilai SFC akan semakin rendah. Pada beban 400 KW nilai SFC yang dihasilkan pada bulan Februari-Maret-April secara berurut sebesar sebesar 0.297-0.285-0.379 (l/kWh) sedangkan pada pembebanan 60% nilai SFC sebesar 0.282-0.278-0.285 (l/kWh) pada pembebanan 80% dapat dilihat nilai SFC semakin mengecil menjadi 0.268-0.276-0.273 (l/kWh). Pengaruh variasi beban pada efisiensi termal adalah semakin tinggi pembebanan maka akan semakin tinggi pula nilai efisiensinya.

Things that can affect the value of fuel consumption and thermal efficiency are variations in load, the level of variation in engine loading will affect how much fuel consumption is needed to generate electrical energy and of course the variation in load will affect the value of thermal efficiency in the engine due to losses that occur during the combustion process. The purpose of this study was to conduct research on the effect of load variation on fuel consumption and thermal efficiency on PLTD ULP Tapak Tuan at load variations of 400 KW, 600 KW, 800 KW. The results of this study are known to influence the effect of load variations on SFC, the higher the load given, the lower the SFC value. At a load of 400 KW the SFC value produced in February-March-April in sequence amounted to 0.297-0.285-0,379 (l/kWh) while at the loading of 60% the SFC value of 0.282-0.278-0.285 (l/kWh) at the loading of 80% can be seen the SFC value decreases to 0.268-0.276-0.273 (l/kWh). The effect of load variation on thermal efficiency is the higher the loading, the higher the efficiency value.
