Kondensor Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga uap (PLTU) PT PLN (Persero) UPK Bukit
asam Unit 4 merupakan alat penukar kalor jenis surface yang menggunakan air sungai
dari sungai enim yang berfungsi sebagai fluida yang digunakan untuk mengkodensasikan
uap dari exhaust dari sebuah turbin. Pada bulan Desember 2020 dilaksanakan perbaikan
Plugging pada Kondensor Unit 4. Proses plugging juga meliputi pembersihan tube-tube
agar kodensor bisa berjalan secara optimal dan terkendali. Dengan menggunakan metode
Number of Transfer Unit (NTU) untuk mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan tubes plugging
terhadap kinerja kondensor dilihat dari nilai efektivitasnya. Akan ada pengaruh apa saja
yang menyebabkan turunnya nilai efektivitas dari kondensor setelah di lakukan tube
plugging. Nilai dari perhitungan efektivitas kondensor sebelum tubes plugging pada rata
rata 0,3332 (33,32 %) dan jika dibandingan dengan sesudah tubes plugging nilai rata-rata
efektivitas dari kondensor adalah 0,2902 (29,02%) dan oleh sebab itu terjadi penurunan
efektivitas sesudah terjadi tubes plugging sebesar 0,0442 (4,42%).

PT PLN (Persero) UPK Bukit Asam Unit 4 Steam Power Plant Condenser is a surface type heat exchanger that uses river water from the Enim River which functions as a fluid used to condense steam from the exhaust of a turbine. In December 2020, Plugging repairs were carried out on the Condenser Unit 4. The plugging process also includes cleaning of the tubes so that the coconsor can run optimally and under control. By using the Number of Transfer Unit (NTU) method to determine the effect of tube plugging activities on the performance of the condenser in terms of its effectiveness. There will be any influence that causes a decrease in the effectiveness of the condenser after tube plugging. The value of the calculation of the effectiveness of the condenser before the tubes plugging is on average 0,3332 (33.32 %) and when compared to after the tubes plugging the average value of the effectiveness of the condenser is 0,2902 (29.02%) and therefore occurs decreased effectiveness after tube plugging was 0.0442 (4,42%).
