Abstract
Sistem kelistrikan pada pesawat ATR 72-600 terbagi menjadi dua jenis, yaitu system listrik AC dan DC. Salah satu sumber utama sistem kelistrikan adalah Starter Generator, yang berfungsi untuk menghidupkan mesin utama pesawat dan kemudian berfungsi sebagai generator yang menghasilkan daya listrik untuk kebutuhan sistem pesawat, seperti pencahayaan, komunikasi, navigasi, dan sistem avionik. Starter Generator dapat mengalami kerusakan, seperti zero output voltage, yang dapat mempengaruhi distribusi listrik pada pesawat, sehingga memerlukan perawatan. Penelitian ini menganalisis proses perawatan Starter Generator sesuai dengan referensi manual perawatan Component Maintenance Manual 24-32-61, yang meliputi perawatan Brush Change, Brush and Bearing Change, dan Overhaul. Penelitian melibatkan 19 serial number komponen Starter Generator, dengan 4 di antaranya menunjukkan tidak ada tegangan output. Data diperoleh dari flight hour komponen, pengukuran, dan pengujian Starter Generator. Kondisi brush pada komponen Starter Generator telah memasuki kondisi kritis, sementara flight hour komponen telah melebihi batas perawatan. Pengaruh dari brush yang aus dan melebihi flight hour menyebabkan kegagalan pada generator. Setelah perawatan, hasil pengujian menunjukkan tegangan keluaran sesuai standar, yaitu 29 V DC. Penyebab kegagalan generator adalah ausnya brush yang terkikis selama operasi dan melebihi jadwal perawatan.
The electrical system on the ATR 72-600 aircraft is divided into two types: AC and DC systems. One of the main power sources in the electrical system is the Starter Generator, which functions to start the aircraft's main engine and then acts as a generator that produces electrical power for the aircraft's system needs, such as lighting, communication, navigation, and avionics systems. The Starter Generator may experience damage, such as zero output voltage, which can affect the distribution of electrical power on the aircraft, thus requiring maintenance. This study analyzes the maintenance process of the Starter Generator according to the Component Maintenance Manual 24-32-61, which includes Brush Change, Brush and Bearing Change, and Overhaul. The study involves 19 serial numbers of the Starter Generator components, with 4 of them showing no output voltage. Data was obtained from the component’s flight hours, measurements, and testing of the Starter Generator. The condition of the brush in the Starter Generator component has reached a critical state, while the component's flight hours have exceeded the maintenance limit. The effect of worn brushes and exceeding the flight hours causes a failure in the generator. After maintenance, the test results showed an output voltage in accordance with the standard, which is 29 V DC. The cause of the generator failure is the worn-out brushes that were eroded during operation and exceeded the maintenance schedule.
