Abstract
In rainfed and, farmers often have problem in irrigating their fields as many of
them still use conventional method. This conventional way of irrigation has many
shortcomings, including uneven distribution of uneven distribution of water, the
amount of that is wasted, and the ineffective irrigation system being implemented.
The Optimization of water distribution is one way to minimiza problem caused by the conventional irrigation system. Many farmers have not been able to see firsthand the extent of the soil conditions on their agricultural land. There is a need to build a system that enavle farmers to monitor thei farms. Therefore, a monitoring application for rainfed agricultural land was developed. This application uses the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) method for determining the location or node that is energized by . Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) will process pre-prepared data. After that, ACO will use the drought/moisture level of
the soil as the probability value and decide which node needs water the most and, and the sequence of nodes that are traversed. This method has 57% accuracy, so this application can help farmers in monitoring their agricultural land.
