Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pola pengisian coal bunker di PLTU Lontar (4 x 315 MW) dengan menggunakan satu line Belt Conveyor. PLTU Lontar, yang memiliki total kapasitas 1260 MW, menghadapi tantangan dalam penyaluran batubara saat satu Conveyor mengalami gangguan. Belt Conveyor dirancang dengan kapasitas 2 x 625 ton/jam, sementara konsumsi batubara untuk empat unit mencapai 652 ton/jam.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan pola pengisian optimal untuk menjaga operasional tetap aman dan efisien. Metode penelitian meliputi analisis aliran batubara, waktu pengisian, dan strategi distribusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan satu line Belt Conveyor untuk operasional empat unit PLTU dapat dilakukan dengan mengatur durasi pengisian dan volume awal coal bunker secara optimal. Simulasi dengan durasi pengisian 10 dan 20 menit per bunker serta pengaturan volume awal gradual lebih efektif dalam mempertahankan volume batubara dalam batas aman. Untuk pemeliharaan singkat (<24 jam), durasi pengisian 10-45 menit efektif, sedangkan untuk pemeliharaan panjang (>24 jam), pengaturan volume awal gradual dengan durasi pengisian 10 dan 20 menit sangat disarankan. Implementasi pola pengisian ini dapat menjaga keandalan operasional dan mencegah derating unit akibat kekurangan suplai batubara.Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi pembangkit listrik lain di Indonesia.

This study examines the filling patterns of coal bunkers in the Lontar Power Plant (4 x 315 MW) using a single Belt Conveyor line. The Lontar Power Plant, with a total capacity of 1260 MW, faces challenges in coal distribution when one of the conveyors experiences disruptions. The Belt Conveyor is designed with a capacity of 2 x 625 tons per hour, while the coal consumption for all four units amounts to 652 tons per hour. The objective of this research is to develop an optimal filling pattern to ensure safe and efficient operations. The research methodology includes analyzing coal flow, filling time, and distribution strategies. The results indicate that using a single Belt Conveyor line for all four units can be achieved by optimizing the filling duration and initial coal bunker volume. Simulations with filling durations of 10 and 20 minutes per bunker, along with gradual initial volume adjustments, are more effective in maintaining coal volume within safe limits. For short maintenance periods (<24 hours), filling durations of 10-45 minutes are effective, while for longer maintenance periods (>24 hours), gradual initial volume adjustments with 10- and 20-minute filling durations are highly recommended. Implementing this filling pattern can ensure operational reliability and prevent unit derating due to coal supply shortages. The findings from this research are expected to serve as a reference for other power plants in Indonesia.
