According to the research conducted, delaying the implementation of a Major Overhaul can negatively impact the performance of Diesel Power Plants in several ways. For instance, delaying the Major Overhaul resulted in an increase in the average Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) during the January-June 2023 period by 0.005 liters/kWh and an increase in the average heat capacity by 48 Kcal/kWh for
unit 6 of Diesel Power Plants Batakan, which means the engine efficiency decreased. Additionally, the delay in implementing the Major Overhaul until June 2023 also caused damage to several materials in the fuel system of unit 6 of the Batakan Diesel Power Plants.
