Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) memiliki peran penting dalam penyediaan energi listrik, dengan efisiensi sistem yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh performa komponen utama, termasuk High Pressure Heater (HPH). Penelitian ini menganalisis efektivitas High Pressure Heater 7 terhadap efisiensi boiler sebelum dan sesudah plugging tube di Unit 1 PLTU Indramayu. Plugging dilakukan sebagai tindakan perawatan untuk mengatasi kebocoran pipa, namun dapat berdampak pada perpindahan panas dan efisiensi keseluruhan sistem. Metode penelitian melibatkan pengumpulan data operasional sebelum dan sesudah plugging serta perhitungan efektivitas HPH menggunakan parameter efektivitas (ε). Selain itu, efisiensi boiler dihitung berdasarkan standar ASME PTC 4.1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah plugging, efektivitas HPH mengalami sedikit penurunan dari 96,59 – 98,61% menjadi 94,79 – 98%. Efisiensi boiler juga mengalami penurunan dari 71,39% sebelum plugging menjadi 69,69% setelah plugging. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mengenai pengaruh plugging terhadap performa HPH dan efisiensi sistem, serta dapat menjadi referensi dalam optimalisasi operasional PLTU.

Steam Power Plants (PLTU) play a crucial role in electricity supply, with system efficiency significantly influenced by the performance of key components, including the High-Pressure Heater (HPH). This study analyzes the effectiveness of High-Pressure Heater 7 on boiler efficiency before and after plugging tubes in Unit 1 of PLTU Indramayu. Plugging is conducted as a maintenance measure to address pipe leaks but can impact heat transfer and overall system efficiency. The research method involves collecting operational data before and after plugging and calculating HPH effectiveness using the effectiveness parameter (ε). Additionally, boiler efficiency is calculated based on ASME PTC 4.1 standards. The results show that after plugging, HPH effectiveness slightly decreased from 96.59% – 98.61% to 94.79% – 98%. Boiler efficiency also declined from 71.39% before plugging to 69.69% after plugging. This study provides insights into the impact of plugging on HPH performance and system efficiency, serving as a reference for optimizing PLTU operations.
