Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas proses overhaul dalam meningkatkan efisiensi gas turbin secara keseluruhan, serta menganalisis pengaruh faktor-faktor penyebab penurunan efisiensi performa mesin sebelum dan sesudah overhaul. Penelitian dilakukan di PLTGU Tanjung Uncang dengan pengambilan data dari logsheet harian sebelum dan sesudah overhaul. Analisis melibatkan evaluasi terhadap efisiensi kompresor, efisiensi turbin, efisiensi termal, dan Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) pada tiga tingkat beban operasi: 30 MW, 35 MW, dan 45 MW. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa overhaul meningkatkan efisiensi di semua aspek. Rata-rata peningkatan efisiensi kompresor sebesar 1,73%, efisiensi turbin sebesar 0,057%, dan efisiensi thermal sebesar 2,01%. Penurunan rata-rata SFC sebesar 0,0087 kg/kWh menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi bahan bakar. Peningkatan terbesar terjadi pada beban 45 MW, di mana efisiensi thermal meningkat sebesar 2,85% dan SFC menurun sebesar 0,011 kg/kWh. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa overhaul memberikan dampak pada beban operasi yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa overhaul efektif meningkatkan efisiensi gas turbin.
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the overhaul process in improving the overall efficiency of gas turbines and to analyze the impact of factors causing performance efficiency degradation before and after the overhaul. The research was conducted at the Tanjung Uncang Combined Cycle Power Plant by collecting daily logsheets before and after the overhaul. The analysis included evaluations of compressor efficiency, turbine efficiency, thermal efficiency, and Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) at three operational load levels: 30 MW, 35 MW, and 45 MW. The results showed that the overhaul improved efficiency in all aspects. The average increase in compressor efficiency was 1.73%, turbine efficiency 0.057%, and thermal efficiency 2.01%. The average reduction in SFC by 0.0087 kg/kWh indicated an improvement in fuel efficiency. The highest improvement occurred at a load of 45 MW, where thermal efficiency increased by 2.85% and SFC decreased by 0.011 kg/kWh. This indicates that the overhaul had a more significant impact at higher operational loads.
