Pada tahun 2013, Indonesia menempati urutan ke-10 jumlah penderita diabetes melitus terbanyak di dunia dengan jumlah 7,5 juta jiwa dan jka hal ini berlanjut maka akan diperkirakan pada tahun 2030 penderita diabetes melitus dapat mencapai 12 juta jiwa. Penerapan Metode Certainty Factor pada Diagnosa Penyakit Diabetes Melitus untuk mempermudah proses pendiagnosaan. Metode certainty factor digunakan untuk mendukung sistem pakar, dimana metode certainty factor digunakan sebagai perhitungan setiap pertanyaan yang telah diberikan bobot masing-masing. Hasil dari perhitungan dengan certainty factor merupakan hasil diagnose pasien berdasarkan gejala yang di jawab oleh pasien. Aplikasi system pakar ini dibuat untuk membantu pasien dan dokter dalam mengurangi kesalahan yang terjadi dimasa lalu oleh Dokter dan Pasien Rumah Sakit Islam Siti Khadijah Palembang. Aplikasi ini digunakan oleh admin, dokter dan pasien. Pengujian untukkelayakan aplikasi menggunakan metode pengujian blackbox.
